A wedding day is so much more than a dress, flowers and a venue. A wedding is about you two celebrating your love with your hand picked nearest and dearest. And that's where my focus lies - in you, and your people! Kelsi and Arjan had the most amazing vibe on their day, the energy was contagious. Their friends and family fully represented what these two are about - fun loving and relaxed - and it was one heck of a celebration!!
Perry and Gee tied the knot on Georgina’s family farm in Glenavy. It was one hell of a day! Georgina was beyond stunning and Perry could’nt keep his eyes off her!! Don’t believe me? Check out their film!!
I’ve got a few weddings to share but lets start with the latest! Blair and Nikki got hitched November 24th and it was nothing short of epic. With the weather forecast looking absolutely terrible after two weeks solid of rain, Nikki trusted her gut and stuck with her plan to get married out side and boy oh boy did it pay off - it was a dream - one thing I think you learn on your wedding day is to just roll with it, you cant control everything! And when it comes down to it, its not about the perfect weather, its about you two sharing your love with your nearest and dearest. And that’s exactly what these two did!!
Holy crap . . . its been a while between posts! But this little film here, this makes up for it I swear! Scott + Kristy were so much fun, we were laughing all day and I couldn’t be more stoked that I got to share the day with these two epic humans!! Watch for yourself and you’ll see what I mean!!
This wedding season has been amazing and my last wedding of the season did not disappoint! Brad and Louise tied the knot in Oamaru, the weather threatened rain all day but we made it through and even scored the most epic sunset! Thanks guys for trusting us and traipsing up the hill to catch that last little bit of light!
These two shred the sweetest day at the stunning River Ridge Retreat. It was easy to see how loved Brendon and Lauren are by all their friends and family, they are two seriously kind souls. Lauren's laugh was so infectious and I don't think we stopped smiling all day!!
Burt and Rebecca tied the knot at the stunning Glendu Station in Wanaka, Easter weekend. It was seriously such a treat to meet these two and their amazing families, the love and respect shared between them and their loved ones was something pretty special. Burt and Rebecca ticked all the boxes on throwing an epic wedding and its my absolute pleasure to share it with you!!
A little something to spice up your Friday - Jean and Jess!! These two are seriously the sweetest souls!!
Lance and Jo sure know how to throw one hell of a party! This day was an absolute blast from start to finish. . . don't believe me? Check it out for yourselves! I couldn't be more stoked that I got to spend the day celebrating with these two!
Asher + Steph came home from Australia to tie the knot in true Oamaru (and Palmerston) style! It was one heck of a day, check it out for yourself!!
Brad and Jess spent the day celebrating with their nearest and dearest at the Woolshed on Racecourse in Omakau, it was such a treat to met these two and spend their wedding day with them and their friends and families. They were totally up for anything, even leaving their party for a sneaky wee sunset shoot and their bridal party provided the laughs in spades! If want to catch a serious case of the feels, check this film out!!
On the hottest day of the summer. . . like i'm pretty sure at some stages it was 35 degrees. . . Dave and Tamara tied the knot . . and it was one hell of a party! There were tears - mainly form the bridesmaids, smiles, and a barrel full of laughs - this bridal party was next level.
A massive shout out to Douglas Thorn Photography ( https://douglasthorne.photo/ ) for the Drone work and for being a pleasure to work with.
This was one hell of a wedstival!! Food trucks, musicians, tipis, hula hooping, dancing and most importantly the epic love these share. Ra and Megan are kind, gentle and loving humans whose love for the earth is matched by their love for each other - and that is some pretty big love, let me tell you. Their friend's and family joined them camping in the beautiful Orton Bradley Park, they were married in an outdoor cathedral (created by trees) and then all wandered over to a clearing all set up with the Tipi, food trucks, a bar and outdoor seating. . . and then the festivities began. It was a day of togetherness in the most special way, and a day I will never forget.
Sometimes before a wedding I don't get to met the couple, maybe via skype but sometimes not at all and it can feel a little daunting - but when I officially met these two in person at the rehearsal I knew we were in for a EPIC day. Olly is the kind of guy who literally never stops smiling always has a joke or two up his sleeve, good old English humor and could find the bright side of any situation. And Katey is such a kind, sweet soul who has such a beautiful love and respect for her family and she still has that great laid back kiwi attitude. These two sweet souls made the mammoth venture over from the UK to tie the knot in Tekapo in early January. Now planning a wedding from the other side of the world is no easy feat but these two managed to pull of one hell of a day - Katey is literally the organisational queen so it is no doubt it went off without a hitch. Love and positivity couldn't radiate from these two anymore, and I am so happy to share the film of Mr + Mrs Cowan with you all!

Happy New Year to you all, celebrate like your lives depend on it!! I know I will!!
Wedding season is here and I couldn't have asked for a better start with my epic couples so far!! Which includes these two super cool humans. Jess + Ben. . . Jess is an Oamaru girl at heart who I have known through the years so it was super cool being able to capture the day and see some familiar faces celebrating the night away. I don't know if Ben stopped smiling all day. . . has he yet? Probably not!! These two are made for each other . . . check out their film if you don't believe me!!
